Nate’s hard at work on his own private member’s bill (C-246). While he shares your aim of legalizing cannabis, we can’t take on another bill at this point.

As you know, the government of Canada will be putting forward a government bill early next year. Nate’s riding borders that of MP Bill Blair, and they’re in regular contact re: marijuana legalization. I expect his informal discussions with Mr. Blair will be more productive than introducing a bill of his own.

I am in favour of marijuana legalization and regulation, and I have been an advocate for drug policy reform for years.
