Voting Strategy for 2015 - Vote to remove Cannabis from the Drug schedule

Dear Cannabis enthusiasts and supporters,

The 2015 Election is just about 9 months away.  And the goal for all Cannabis enthusiasts and supporters is to get a majority vote (50%+1) of the 42nd Parliament of Canada to vote to remove cannabis from the drug schedule.

While it's great that the Liberal Party of Canada leader Justin Trudeau supports legalization, it must be noted that there is no actual statement published that says that he will 'remove cannabis from the drug schedule'.  This statement is only with the BC Federal Liberals draft policy, but is not part of the strategy.   The liberals  have not yet published their statement.   Yes they say that they will legalize, tax & regulate, but the clear statement of action of 'Removing cannabis from the drug schedule' has not been done.

However, that said.  If a vote in parliament was called to 'remove cannabis from the drug schedule'  there is a high probability that all Liberals will vote yes for this.

And while it's great that the NDP support removing the criminal penalty and making it an offence like a driving violation, it should also be noted that there are some conservatives who also support ticketing, and not a prison sentence for cannabis possession. ... but the NDP does not want people growing cannabis in their homes like a vegetable garden or pot-ted plants on their balcony.  (Growing cannabis takes as much skill as growing tomatoes, as i understand).

It's the Green Party of Canada who has specific public policy statement to 'remove cannabis from the drug schedule'. ... but also to tax and regulate.

The Marijuana Party of Canada, however, is a 1-policy party, and wants to remove it from the drug schedule, and there will be 1 candidate (that i know of) for this post.    

The Green Party of Canada has grown in the past decade as now there are 2 MPs, and the organization has grown where there is a solid foundation, more than the grass-roots party as it was originally.   The BC Greens has made momentum and has an MLA in BC.    (and unlike the other parties, the provincial BC Greens does work with the Federal green party), so support is across the government levels.

Over the next few months, you will see blogposts for each candidate.  ... and there will be 338 blogposts.  Where the aim is to get a policy statement from each riding. .. showing the best candidate for the riding.
In some ridings, the best candidate for the riding might not be the green party candidate, but it will be the candidate who has the best cannabis policy satement.  ...  
There is also the Libertarian Party of Canada, who does support legalized cannabis. .. however, they also support Military action.  They support Gun rights and less social services. ... this is something that i personally don't support.   I think that federal government does have a role to play, but most services should be put to the provincial government.  I think the federal government should be much smaller.  .. and in fact, i also support separating of BC from Canada, and giving back land to the 1st Nations, and designating unused lands to First Nations that needs to be protected.  Lands can be used as parks (but natural parks, not paved parks)

Because this is my own blog, i decide what goes get put onto it. .. and the purpose of the blog is to show and organize candidates and MPs and make their cannabis policy statements known and public. ... whatever their statement is and whatever views they have, this information needs to be known.
