Thank you for your e-mail on this important issue. As you know, the Liberal Party of Canada and our Leader Justin Trudeau supports the legalization of marijuana. We believe that legalization could be achieved by passing smart laws that would tax and regulate marijuana. The current approach by the federal government has failed our children and our society. Today, it is easier for children to access marijuana than alcohol or tobacco. We are seeing that millions of dollars from the trade of marijuana are being funnelled to criminal organizations and street gangs, making our communities unsafe. The only way to move away from the Conservative’s failed drug policy that doesn’t protect people is by supporting the Liberal Party of Canada and Justin Trudeau.
