Mr. Speaker, the
member spoke primarily about the part of the bill that deals with drugs.
He spoke at length about marijuana and the fight against drug lords.
There are many drug lords in Canada. First of all, these drug lords come
from other countries. Also, this omnibus crime bill, which has
absolutely nothing to do with drugs, is all over the board. The
Conservatives want to criminalize anyone who has at least six marijuana
plants for the purpose of sale. Those are minor offenders, not drug
lords. Drug lords traffic in cocaine and drugs that are a lot harder
than marijuana. The members opposite should not get carried away.

re: Does Anne-Marie Day support the removal of cannabis as a schedule II controlled substance from the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (S.C. 1996, c. 19)?
Dear Anne-Marie Day,
Do you support the simple removal of cannabis as a schedule II controlled substance from the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (S.C. 1996, c. 19)?, and let it be treated the same as Lettuce, Tomato, Oregano, Roses, Aloe Vera, Fern or any other common garden herb, flower or house plant?
Do you know the difference between Cannabis Sativa, Cannabis Indica, and Cannabis Ruderalis?
I look forward to receiving your responses as it will be made public, so then others wont need to ask you the same question.
Kind regards,
Sam Vekemans (address)
P.S. All 307 Members of Parliament are being asked these same questions.
