From marijuana to shipbuilding, we run the gamut here.
Let me begin by discussing the marijuana legislation. For many years the Government of Canada's approach has failed to reduce marijuana use, particularly among young people. Our responsibility is to implement an evidence-based approach.
The evidence is quite clear. Nobody is condoning, supporting, or promoting the use of marijuana, Mr. Blaney. We want a legal framework in laws that are more effective. Some countries that have chosen to focus efforts on health promotion, prevention, mental health services, and addiction services have found that to be more effective in reducing the use of drugs, marijuana being one, than simply a criminal justice approach. We can differ on the approach, but I want to be very clear, Mr. Blaney, that nobody here is advocating or promoting the use of marijuana.

“People admire Justin’s candour and his common sense,” Liberal MP Scott Brison said in an interview.
“I’ve also had comments from people that find people like Stephen Harper and Peter MacKay hopelessly out of touch with near-toxic levels of sanctimony and more interested in attacking someone’s character than actually listening to reason.”
He said no one has questioned Trudeau’s judgment in toking while an MP.
“No I have not heard that at all from anybody,” he said, dismissing Tory attempts to persuade Canadians that Trudeau is unfit to govern.
“It’s a little rich coming from Stephen Harper, whose judgment put Pamela Wallin and Mike Duffy in the Senate … so, you want to talk about judgment, let’s talk judgment. Bring it on.”
As for himself, Brison said he too has smoked pot in the past and “I did inhale.” But he said, “it’s been a very long time” — indeed, before he became an MP in 1997 — since he last toked up.

Message for Scott Brison, liberal MP for Nova Scotia. Greetings my friend! Maybe today we can help some persons who Health Canada has left behind in their hellish, unjust, policies as they pertain to our medicinal access to cannabis medicine. Health Canada is blocking access in every way they can! This is not the job we hired them to do Mr Brison! We hired them to protect our health, to protect our families health. My question to you today Mr. Bryson is, "Why are you allowing Health Canada to withhold our lifesaving medicine from the hands of families and children, who are dying of horrible diseases, like epilepsy, and cancer?" Given the Liberal policy on medical cannabis, I can't help but wonder Mr. Brison, why there has been so little done by the Liberals to stop this abuse! HC wants us to get our children to smoke the medicine for cripes sake! For they are fighting against medibles and extracts in the Supreme Court of Canada. Please realize that these flawed policies of Health Canada, as they pertain to cannabis medicine, is quite literally killing our family members. In order for me to decide to vote for your party Mr. Bryson, and you as my MP, you are going to have to stop Health Canada's attack on our health. Just think about it, Health Canada is purposefully and knowingly eroding our health! Now Mr Bryson, do you want our votes? Of course you do! Our votes could swing your party to a win in the next federal election, or be the vote that causes the Liberals yet another loss. Your party desperately needs our votes in the 2015 contest. So please Mr Bryson, stop ignoring our needs, right this injustice, and prove to us that you and your party are deserving of our votes. I have tried unsuccessfully to work with you and your party in the past, but was not taken seriously. Well today Mr. Bryson, it is time for you and your party to take us seriously, if you want to win an election! We have become powerful just by virtue of our present numbers! We will be ignored no longer. This killing injustice stops here and now. Today! Do you support the simple removal of cannabis as a schedule II controlled substance from the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (S.C. 1996, c. 19)?, and let it be treated the same as Lettuce, Tomato, Oregano, Roses, Aloe Vera, Fern or any other common garden herb, flower or house plant?
Do you know the difference between Cannabis Sativa, Cannabis Indica, and Cannabis Ruderalis?
I look forward to receiving your responses as it will be made public, so then others wont need to ask you the same question.
