Mr. Speaker, the Liberal leader offers very few solutions when it comes to getting tough on crime. He panders to the drug users rather than joining our government in getting tough on traffickers and producers of drugs. On Monday, he said he would reintroduce a bill to decriminalize marijuana. This just shows that he values scoring political points over getting tough on the serious crimes that threaten the safety of our communities.

Would the Minister of Justice tell us what he thinks of the Liberal leader's recent announcement?

Falk then goes on to say he takes exception to Trudeau's views in favour of legalizing marijuana.
"It seems to me one of Trudeau's platforms has been to legalize marijuana. Clearly our government is focused on preventing illicit drug use and I think that's an important issue to the constituents of Provencher. It's also very disturbing to me when a leader of any national party admits to the use of an illegal mind-altering drug. I don't think that's appropriate for a Member of Parliament and certainly not for the leader of any political party."
When asked about Trudeau's assertion that the government's current approach to marijuana is not working, Falk replies, "Perhaps it's because the sentences are not harsh enough for distributing and using those kinds of things."
Meanwhile, Falk says he is getting many messages of support for the Conservative Party as he travels throughout the riding.
"We feel good in our riding that we've got strong support right across the riding. We've had many constituents tell us, as we've travelled around the riding, that they're looking forward to again supporting the Conservative Government in this next by-election."

Thank you for writing me about cannabis regulation. I do not in any way think that cannabis should be treated the same as garden vegetables. Similar to alcohol and tobacco, marijuana is a drug plain and simple, and should be treated as such. However, the current approach to marijuana, its criminalization, is not working. I do know the difference between the three strains of cannabis. I find the increases of THC content, and reduction of CBD content, within modern Sativa strains worrisome, in that the marijuana strains most commonly sold are getting stronger. Part of the benefits of a regulated industry would be to prevent dangerous strains from being sold, and ensure safety standards, such as cannabinoid content and safe growing.

The Conservative approach to drugs has resulted in more than 475,000 Canadians being arrested on marijuana-related charges, costing Canadians more than an estimated $500 million since 2006. I believe in a smart on crime approach, targeting real criminals instead of ordinary Canadians.

WANTED: Free Commercial office space for night-time use 9pm-5am in Victoria

Hi,
I'm looking for free commercial office space to use from the hours of 5pm to 9am from Sunday through Wednesday nights anywhere in the Victoria area.
The space needs to have an office desk / chair / heating / power / wifi / washroom access.

The purpose of the space is to be able to get alot of work done, that would otherwise be done at the Public Library, Coffee shops are great, but it's expensive to buy the over priced coffee, and can be destracting with so many people around.

The work i'm doing is for this project (deschedualizing Cannabis  http://sensiblecanada.blogspot.ca) , where i simply need a space to work. 
I do have a light-security background (but no 'security' training).   So all that's needed is for a security company to be on site, or be checking in.  I can sign a liability waiver.

I have a mobile office with me, an if i could have access to a computer monitor / keyboard then it would be easier.   I can packup and leave each night (like knowone was their).
